Pepperoni pasta combines the bold flavours of pepperoni with pasta, creating a savoury and satisfying dish. Originating from the Italian-American tradition, it features sliced pepperoni, often sautéed with tomatoes and spices, and mixed with pasta. This flavourful dish offers a delicious twist on classic pasta recipes and has become a popular choice for a quick and hearty meal.
INGREDIENTS
1 bag Penne Pasta
1 Tbsp Oil
1 Onion, chopped
3 Garlic Cloves, minced
2 Chillies, finely chopped
1 200 g x IMANA Pepperoni Flavour Super Soya Mince packet
1 cup Water
1 tin chopped TomatoÂ
1 IMANA Chilli Beef Flavoured Stock Cube, mixed with 1 cup water
Handful Basil, chopped (for garnish)
METHOD
In a pot, cook the pasta as per packet instructions and set aside.
In another pot using oil, fry the onion, garlic and chillies for 3 - 5 minutes.Â
Add in the packet of IMANA Pepperoni Flavour Super Soya Mince into the pot with 1 cup of water, stock cube mixture and a tin of tomato and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes. Â
Add pasta and serve with chopped basil for garnish.
