Potato bake is a creamy dish that originated in the United Kingdom in the 19th century. Potatoes were a staple ingredient in British cooking and is now enjoyed around the world. Potato bake is delicious when served with mushrooms.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 Potatoes, peeled

  • 1 Onion, chopped

  • 1 Tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1½ cups Cheese, grated

  • 1 cup Cream

  • ½ cup Milk

  • Bacon, diced (optional)

  • 1 IMANA Cream of Mushroom Flavoured Soup

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  2. In a pot, par-boil the potatoes in water.

  3. Set aside to cool before cutting into slices.

  4. In an ovenproof dish, arrange the potato slices, onion, herbs, diced bacon (optional) and the grated cheese.

  5. Sprinkle the IMANA Cream of Mushroom Flavoured Soup powder over the contents of the dish.

  6. In a bowl, mix the cream and the milk together before pouring over the contents of the dish.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top and the potatoes are soft and cooked through.
