A HERITAGE WE CAN BE PROUD OF...
Lasagna originated in Italy during the middle ages. Traditionally, lasagna made in Naples was made with various combinations of ricotta or mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, meats (such as ground beef, pork or chicken), and vegetables (such as spinach, zucchini, olives or mushrooms), and the dish is typically flavoured with wine, garlic, onion, and oregano.
INGREDIENTS
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Onion, chopped
500g Beef mince
400ml Water
1 Tin Tomato paste
500ml Boiling water
250g Instant lasagna sheets
Cheese, grated
1 IMANA Spaghetti Bolognaise Cook-in-Sauce
2 IMANA Cheddar Cheese Sauce
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a pot, fry the onion for 5 minutes in the oil.Â
Add the minced meat, IMANA Spaghetti Bolognaise Cook-in-Sauce powder, 400ml water and the tomato paste then stir well and cook slowly until meat is tender.
Prepare the 2 IMANA Cheddar Cheese Sauces as per packet instructions.
In a greased baking dish, arrange the minced meat, pasta sheets and IMANA Cheddar Cheese Sauce in alternate layers. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of cheese sauce.
Sprinkle a generous amount of grated cheese on the top of the last layer and bake for 20 - 30 minutes.
