A HERITAGE WE CAN BE PROUD OF...
The ‘Toad in the hole’ is a traditional English favourite that has been around since the 18th century. This dish consists of sausages in Yorkshire pudding batter and is most often served with vegetables and crispy roast potatoes.
INGREDIENTS
¼ cup Oil
1 Egg
300ml Milk
60g Cake flour
600g Pork sausages
1 IMANA Chicken à la King Cook-in-Sauce
1 IMANA Brown Onion Flavoured Gravy
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 220°C.
In a bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
Add the flour and IMANA Chicken à la King Cook-in-Sauce to the bowl and whisk to make a smooth batter and set aside.
Place the sausages into a deep, ovenproof baking dish.
Pour the oil over the sausages and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the baking dish from the oven and immediately pour the batter over the hot sausages and return to the oven for a further 25 minutes.
The dish will be ready when the batter has risen around the sausages and it is golden brown.
Prepare the IMANA Brown Onion Flavoured Gravy as per packet instructions and serve with your dish.
