When the African Birds Eye Chilli was discovered, a marinade was made with chilli, garlic, vinegar, paprika and other ingredients. This was added to different dishes and used to give chicken a spicy, wholesome flavour.
INGREDIENTS
1 Tbsp Oil
300g Chicken breasts, cut into strips
1 Onion, chopped
200ml Cream
200ml Water
1 Red peppers, sliced
1 Yellow peppers, sliced
1 IMANA Mozambique Peri-Peri Cook-in-Sauce
METHOD
Fry the onion for 5 minutes in the oil.
Add the chicken strips to the pan and fry for 5 minutes.
Add the sliced peppers and continue to fry.
Add the water and the cream into the pan, stir in the IMANA Mozambique Peri-Peri Cook-in-Sauce powder and bring to a boil.
Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Best served with Basmati rice.
